A good friend of mine who lives in Shanghai is very active in supporting Buddhist activities. She did a lot of fundraising to build a school for young Buddhist novices in the Qinghai area (in the Northwestern part of China) and she is also very much involved supporting another Buddhist monastery in the Szechuan area. But Bing How's support goes much further than only fundraising... She travels often to both places to supervise the work, places who are very remote and difficult to get at... I admire her for what she is doing... She inspires me a lot... Namaste, Bing How...
She sent me a lot of pictures about her work. In the first part you see the Nian Mo Temple who opened in October 2012, and a few weeks later already over 100 scholars live and learn there. There will be room for approx. 300 scholars once all the buildings are finished. The see those young scholars is very touching. They live in a very poor area and for them this Buddhist school is the only chance to get a decent education... Look at their happy faces and think about the problems we sometimes imagine to have... Those amazing photos were taken by one of their teachers...
The second part shows a Buddhist event organized also by Bing How... I was captivated by the beautiful and bright colors as well as by the peaceful and sincere attitude of the Buddhist Rinpoches, Lamas, and Monks... And on the last picture you see Bing How together with her Rinpoche...
